Kopi ais, nasi lemak, wan tan mee, roti canai ride this Sunday. After all the grinding climbs and ruthless dragon slayings last week, let’s all reward ourselves with some good coffee and food over at Bestari Jaya. Date: 11th January 2015(Sunday) Start/End: DBayu, Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam, Jln Serambi U8/24 (in front of 7-11) GPS: N 3°6 11.08 E 101°31 38.69 Time: 7:30am(Please be there 15 minutes early) Route: DBayu - Guthrie Corridor Expressway - Jalan Kuala Selangor - Simpang Tiga Ijok - Right turn to Bestari Jaya(Refuel) - Simpang Tiga Ijok - Left turn to Jalan Kuala Selangor - REGROUP under the bridge before GCE - Guthrie Corridor Expressway - Dbayu(82km) Flat, direct and relatively low traffic route. In order to not be an obstruction to the public and the traffic, the peloton will be maintained in a single pace line unless permitted by the ride leaders. Nobody likes to be left behind alone, thus the peloton speed will be at a perceived manageable speed. Depending on the turnout, the ride leaders may break the group into different pelotons for safety reasons. There will be potholes, uneven bumps, ditches, incoming traffic etc along the way. Please use hand signals to warn of road obstacles. Cyclists new to group rides are recommended to stay at the back of the peloton to monitor. There will be sweepers at the back to assist the newcomers. Please note: - Uneven bumps along Jalan Kuala Selangor - Uneven bumps and HIGH TRAFFIC area when coming back from Ijok around Indian Temple - Towards the end of the ride at GCE, please be extra cautious of the vehicles coming from the back as you exit the motorcycle lane. It is recommended that cyclists ride further ahead towards the flyover and U-Turn back safely to your car You are welcomed to bring a friend along to join us, as a matter of fact, the more the merrier. But please do take care of him/her instead of leaving them at the back, the route going home might seem simple and straight forward but to keep the interest of cycling intact, it is always better, safe and more motivating when he/she has another person riding alongside. Things to bring along: Spare tubes, handphone, hand pump, multitools, food, sunblock, 2 filled water bottles and for safety purpose, NO HELMET NO RIDE.
