Korn has gotten a lot of shit over their last few releases, from fans who think they should be the same as they were back in the 90s. People can have their own opinions, but when I look at Korn, I see a band that has powered through 20 years and adapted to the massive changes in the music industry. Sure, they may not be the same band they were back then (musically, personally and member-wise), but theyre still a top notch powerhouse that deserves respect. They have done what they need to do to stay on the top of the game, all while remaining true to who they are, and exploring their ever-changing influences and creative outlets. I had the opportunity to see them this past February, and I was amazed at how healthy and fit the entire band was, and how good they sounded. They were amazing, and even while I was getting crushed in the pit, I made it a point to note how god damn good they were.
