Kotoko saga: Dr. K.K Sarpong’s administration renders accounts on player transfers The International Relations Manager of Kumasi Asante Kotoko fc, Kwame Baah Nuako has outlined all transfer transactions of players from the club to foreign teams. He outlined this in an exclusive interview with Metro fm this morning. Players that have been transferred by Kotoko from May 2010 to July 2013. (1) Alex Asamoah to E.S Setif (Tunisia) -2011-$ 80,000 ( $40,000 paid by the club but hasn’t paid the remaining $40,000. Kotoko sent the case to FIFA and it has been ruled that Setif should pay the money with 5% interest) It was left with about one month for his contract with Kotoko to end, when he left the team. (2) Jordan Opoku to Klubi Sportiv Dinamo Tirana (Albania) – Loan: $20,000.He left the country to Albania, before calling Kotoko on his new club at a time he had a year remaining on his contract, although Kotoko did not sanction the trip, his family members begged management to endrose their son’s move. He was transferred in 2011 (3) Albert Bruce to Legia Warsaw- 2012. Loan -$25,000 (4) Samad Oppong to E.S Setif (Tunisia). He was transferred some days before the end of his contract. The player signed agreement with Kotoko that when he is paid his signing on fee, Kotoko will benefit GHC 300,000, but unfortunately the player wasn’t given. (5) Nathaniel Asamoah- Red Star Belgrade (Serbia)-2012 -200,000 Euros with 300,000 Euros onward transfer. As of now, the Serbian club hasn’t paid the money and Kotoko therefore sent the matter to the status committee of FIFA. FIFA has ordered Red Star Belgrade to pay the amount with 5% interest. (6) Awal Mohammed to Maritzburg (South Africa)-2012-$ 200,000 (7) Nii Adjei to T.P Mazembe(DR Congo)-2012-$150, 000 (8) Yaw Frimpong to T.P Mazembe(DR Congo)-2012-$150,000. Note because Mazembe signed both Nii Adjei and Frimpong, Kotoko took advantage to sign corporation agreement with them. (9) Ben Acheampong to Petro Luanda (Angola)-$150,000, with $100,000 for corporation agreement with Kotoko for Youth Development. (10)Gideon Baah to FC Honka (Finland) - Free loan, but the club has now decided to buy him, so negotiation is ongoing. (11) Ahmed Toure hasn’t been officially transferred by Kotoko, so there are no details on him. Other players on loan with Kotoko: Baba Rahman Rashid Sumaila, etc
