Kozmus winning Hammer Challenge, by Alfons Juck, EME News KARLSTAD (SWE, Jul 23): Men hammer was part of IAAF Hammer Challenge and was won by 2008 Olympic winner Primoz Kozmus of Slovenia with 77.69 ahead of Slovak Universiade silver winner Marcel Lomnicky 76.66. Third Ukrainain Olympic finalist Oleksandr Sokyrskyy 76.35 and fourth Poland´s hero Szymon Ziolkowski 74.52. Fresh Universiade winner Pawel Fajdek of Poland did not had a good day with no valid result. Next scoring events will be at World Championships in Moscow. In the current standings of the Challenge Krisztian Pars leads with 242.50 ahead of Lukas Melich 239.44 and Dilshod Nazarov 235.52. In the top six also Ziolkowski 233.07, Lomnicky 231.27 and Sokyrskyy 228.25. Kozmus needs third scoring result to be higher in the rankings.
