If youve been in this business for a while, then you most definitely have been approached by someone promising you some type of BENEFIT in exchange for a FREE CAKE or a BIG DISCOUNT. DONT FALL FOR THIS TRICKERY! NEARLY 100% of the time when someone offers you FREE ADVERTISING, MORE FUTURE ORDERS, or they offer to PROMOTE YOU or REFER more clients to you, its pure BULL. It is TEMPTING to WANT to believe what they are telling you, but SERIOUSLY THINK about what they are doing and WHY theyre doing it. Its ALWAYS ABOUT THE MONEY. A customer that tries to PERSUADE YOU or TRICK you into giving them what they want is NOT the type of customer you want. Dont ever feel OBLIGATED to DONATE your work. If they are planning an EVENT, then WHY dont THEY PLAN and PREPARE for the expense of purchasing a beautiful custom cake, cupcakes, etc.??? Why do YOU have to be the one to LOSE OUT? That is UNFAIR of THEM to ASK YOU to do work for FREE. You OWE THEM NOTHING. If YOU CHOOSE to DONATE your work, then be sure that YOU GO INTO IT EXPECTING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IN RETURN. If you are EXPECTING something in return, DONT DO IT. I can GUARANTEE you, that 99.999999% of the time, you WILL be LET DOWN. Remember to ALWAYS VALUE your TIME and WORTH. Dont LOOK to PEOPLE to help you promote your business. Dont DEPEND on others to bring you more clients. LOOK TO GOD! He is the ONLY ONE who will promote your business the RIGHT WAY! If you start falling for these DECEPTIONS and believing FALSE PROMISES, then your focus will begin to be taken off the ONLY ONE that CAN and WILL promote you, and thats GOD. Trust HIM. Not cheap customers who are trying to take advantage of you.
