Then WHY are you accepting deposits and payments late??? By ACCEPTING payments late, YOU are telling your clients that they dont need to take you seriously. Dont let your customers TRAIN YOU! If this is happening all too often, then you NEED to start doing a BETTER JOB of stressing a SENSE OF URGENCY. Let your customers know that you cannot begin work on ANYTHING and that NOTHING is booked or set in stone, UNTIL you have their payment. You keep your word, so they should too! Let them know that for every day late their payment is made, thats how many days late their cake will be! Remember that the GOAL is to have a STRESS FREE, enjoyable, and peaceful cake business. NO CLIENT should EXPECT YOU to work on emergency mode for THEIR cake. No FLAKEY CUSTOMER is WORTH the stress and anxiety! KNOW the WORTH of your TIME and MENTAL PEACE! YOU be in control!
