Kristine Hermosa gets surprise baby shower Last August 10, actress Kristine Hermosa, who is now almost eight months pregnant, received a surprise baby shower from her family and close friends. Kristine’s husband, Kapuso actor Oyo Sotto, and the organizers had to think of a way to shoo Kristine away from the shower venue so they could prepare. Since the theme was about biking, they also wanted the actress dressed up as a biker. Oyo shared that biking was the theme because it was what he and his wife have in common. He also confided that his wife was still into biking but was unaware that she was already two months pregnant. “Nagba-bike pa si Tin tapos sumasali pa sa mga trails sabay hindi namin alam na buntis na pala siya noon,” the actor added. The couple’s family and close friends at first thought of surprising both Oyo and Kristine but because they needed his help, they had no choice but to reveal him the plan. Oyo had a hard time thinking of an excuse. Part of the plan was for Kristine to go on biking for the last time before her date with the stork. “Hindi maniniwala ‘yon kasi una, binenta na namin yung bike niya so wala na siyang bike. Tapos, alam namin na hindi na niya kaya mag-bike kasi ang laki na ng tiyan niya,” he said. “Kinailangan kong magpalusot sa kanya.” Good thing a family member helped Oyo convince Kristine take the bike despite her condition. “Nami-miss na rin kasi ni Tin ang mag-bike,” the actor said. When the surprise baby shower happened, Kristine could not help but cry out of sheer joy and happiness. Everything for her was unexpected. What made the occasion doubly memorable was the presence of her friends from the faraway South who made sure they shared that very special day with their very special friend Kristine.
