Kroos latest – Strange ‘celebration’ against Manchester United and rumours of deal discussed with Woodward. Toni Kroos‘ performance against Manchester United last night was very German – efficient and effective. In an unnatural role as the holding midfielder in the absence of Bastian Schweinsteiger and Javi Martinez, Kroos unfortunately did well (although, Carrick’s poor performance certainly made his job easier). He has earned plaudits from the German press and his ex-boss Jupp Heynckes for his performance. Some have looked into his muted celebrations after the full time whistle against Manchester United as more evidence that his head isn’t in the right place in Bayern – take a look for yourself below. Rumours linking Kroos with a move to Manchester United are going to rumble on despite Bayern Munich and his agent saying he won’t leave this summer. They have continued today as both the Daily Mail and Daily Express claim that Ed Woodward stayed in Munich last night to discuss a deal for Kroos. United did stay in Munich last night but whether or not Woodward did discuss Kroos with Bayern is speculation. Either way, until the time when Kroos’ future is confirmed by Bayern Munich, these links will continue.
