Kubiak needs to LET GO AND LET KEENUM (Derwin Jordan) Let the Haters beware. I will not throw in the towel until we are mathematically out of the division. Here are the 5 keys to a playoff run that I shared with the Smack Talk Group I belong to. This is my opinion, so Haters beware, I will delete any stupid comments. Texans fans feel free to add or subtract. I predict we will win the division and face the Ravens in the first round, then the Chiefs. Andrew Luck has thrown an average of 24 yards to each receiver combined, not name Reggie Wayne. Their defense and rookies are talented, and they have done an incredible job of Life After Peyton, But if we hit these 5 points, we will finish 10-6. The only way we get in is to defeat the Colts at home, then in there stadium which we have never done before. We finished last year on a pitiful run, we need to reverse that this year. 1. The Defense needs to get nasty. JJ took over the defense when Cushing left last year, and its time for him to do the same. Look for JJ to have another HUGE game against Luck. Looking at any receiver NOT named Reggie Wayne, all of those rookies combined average 24 yards a game. The Colts are on there way to a little losing streak, unless their defense continues to be nasty. Any kind of running game should open up the deep pass for Keenum. Keenum will need to make the league respect the play action pass again. 2. I dont expect Arian to play this week, He will need to be 1000 percent sure that Arian is ready for the playoffs. Look for Tate to start and Dennis Johnson AND Deji karim to both be active for this game. As I said before, this is a playoff game for us, so if hes 100%, then he needs to go. But we dont need to Michael Vic him. I also think Deji will be used to provide a spark on Special Teams. Special Teams is where we are hurting pretty good this year. 3. Its time for the off season moves to make Rick Smith look like the genius I believe him to be. People have started to forget about Ed Reed, as he starts to become finally 100%, this could prove very dangerous for a rookie like Luck especially if JJ reaches Beast Mode. Joe Mays is a considerable upgrade from Barret Ruud last year, hell just from an age perspective. The cuts and additions we just made upgraded the special Teams. This could prove important for a late season run. 4. Kubiak has to Let Go and Let Keenum open up the threat of the long ball. Where Keenum doesnt have a monster arm, he has that Drew Brees feel where you will have to remember names like Posey, Jean, Hopkins, Graham, and THEN Andre Johnson. The reason Andre was sooooo open against the chiefs for that one play, is the Chiefs had to defend more receivers NOT named Johnson or Daniels. Add a running game, and again we would have handed the Chiefs there first lost. The Colts have sack leaders on both ends, especially considering Case struggled with the Blitz last week, could be bad. But if they Blitz him, hes going to have to burn em deep. Look for Case to improve vs the Blitz, and Duane Brown to be healthier than hes been the last few games. 5. We have no choice but to win out in the division. Wild Card will have to have too much magic to get in. We have been placed in the coffin that only holds 2 nails. Nail number 1 comes Sunday with a loss, the other one being a second loss in Indy. However, if the nail is not put in the coffin, the last team anyone wants in this race are the Houston Texans with a mobile quarterback and a healthy Arian Foster. #GoTexans Derwin Jordan 11/2/13
