Kudos to CPL Darryl for going beyond the call of duty, especially when being off-duty and paid a slave allowance. What he has done is very unSingaporean-like, where you-die-your-problem appears to be the motto of the day. Even three government agencies cant decide who should be picking up the fish ball stick and a new Municipal Office has to be setup by the government to decide that. Of course, more cronies have to be paid to run the new office. The proper procedure CPL Darryl should have done as a Singaporean is to whip out his camera phone, take a picture, and post it to STOMP so that he can add $50 to his miserable slave wage. After that, he can stick around and see if anyone dies (and STOMP it of course), or just turn around, and walk away as if nothing happens. Such a duty-driven person like CPL Darryl does not belong in cut-throat Singapore where no-money-no-talk, even when lives are concerned. I wish CPL Darryl well and that he will have a successful break after his tour of slavery, and that he can migrate to a better country where his passion can be better appreciated.
