Kunti was & will be epitome of selfishness :- YUDDHISTHIR CURSES KUNTI Even after Karnas death, Kunti did not even feel the pain of losing her eldest son in the war. When the secret was spilled out, only Yuddhisthir was upset on this fact. Kunti, on the other hand tried to pacify him by telling him to not pay much attention to Karnas death as he was on the side of adharma and he never took the side of his brothers and only competed against them. Hearing such cruel words, yuddhisthir became angry and cursed Kunti that the because of her, the entire womanhood would be deprived of keeping secrets. From sacred-texts Thus addressed by his mother, king Yudhishthira, with tearful eyes and heart agitated by grief, said these words, In consequence of thyself having concealed thy counsels, this great affliction has overtaken me! Possessed of great energy, the righteous king, then, in sorrow, cursed all the women of the world, saying, Henceforth no woman shall succeed in keeping a secret. The king, then, recollecting his sons and grandsons and kinsmen and friends, became filled with anxiety and grief. Afflicted with sorrow, the intelligent king, resembling a fire covered with smoke, became overwhelmed with despair. From KMG Translation :- What I said was correct. Still Karna did not leave Suyodhana. I do not know why you are worrying for him.” said Kunti. Dharmaja looked at his mother, Kunti, contemptuously and cursed: “O mother Kunti! Because of your maintaining secrecy about the birth of Karna, all this has happened. From today, the womenfolk will be deprived of their power of maintaining secrecy.” cursed Dharmaja.
