KushaltaDiwas celebrated by Kushal Felicitated labourers for their unique achievements in the construction sector Pune: KUSHAL, a social enterprise set up by CREDAI Pune Metro and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), today celebrated KushaltaDiwas, as the organisation’s “Annual Day” by felicitating construction workers for the willingness to pursue and successfully completing Kushal certified training. The ceremony witnessed felicitation of developers at the hands of Mr OmprakashBakoria IAS, Addl.Municipal Commissioner (Special).Renowned construction companies like Gera Developments, KoltePatil Developers, Pristine Developers,Kalpataru Developers and Rainbow Group were honoured for their support and faith in Kushal training programme and for using the Model successfully at their sites. Speaking on the occasion,Mr. J.P. Shroff- Chairman Kushal said “We appreciate the support of our developers and partners for encouraging our participants who are the back bone of the real estate industry. The aim of organising such events is to encourage and promote correct technical expertise along with good practices. We are confident that such events will help the construction workforce to boost their confidence levels and motivate them to excel in all walks of life”. KushaltaDiwas is the celebration of Skill sets of Kushal certified trainees. To mark the success and achievements of the trainees, trainers and the organisation’s affiliated construction workers,KushaltaDiwassignifies the efforts contributed by the labourers toward this sector. Aligned with the Honourable Prime Minister ShriNarendraModi’s views of “ShramewaJayate”, Kushal’s vision is to up-skill each and every construction worker in India. The year 2013-14,has been remarkable for Kushal, nearly15,000 workers trained & certified by Kushal. Also, along with upgrading the skill set of labourers, Kushal aims at inculcating accurate habits in construction workers. Saving money is one of major habits being promoted by Kushal. Till now Kushal has been successful in encouraging more than 3000 workers manage bank accounts opened by Kushal. This model has been very successful and shown commendable participation by many workers so much so that some of them have grabbed this opportunity, learnt from KUSHAL & have become contractors now. During the event Kushal Varta and Kushal Safal were unveiled by thedignitaries. Kushal Varta is a bimonthly bulletin circulated to Real Estate Developers and Project Managers. Kushal Safal is circulated amongst the workers to motivate them for training and keep them in tune with the progress of their fellow construction workers.
