Kwanzaa day 4, Ujamaa / Cooperative Economics: To build and maintain our own businesses and to profit from them together. In English Ujamaa translates into socialism. As a principle it urges us to actually build and cooperate, not merely talk about it. This principal stands in opposition to the lust for individual wealth, and promotes shared prosperity. I think we’d all be wise to embrace the principle of Ujamaa.
