The 5-day program, implemented within the framework of the EU-funded project “Handicraft and Business through Regional Integration and Fair Trade Market, will target local BIOs and NGOs interested in improving their management skills. The objective of the training is producing a concrete impact on the sustainability of the organizations involved, at the same time reinforcing their competitiveness within the Kyrgyz civil society’s arena. We are not promising the moon to our beneficiaries: nobody becomes an expert in project management in only 5 days! -Elena Gariboldi, Project Officer at Cesvi says- What we are going to transmit is a practical method that can really make your daily work more efficient and productive, if applied with order and coherence. By the end of the course, participants will be able to design, implement and monitor small projects, applying the most used methodologies at the international level. BIOs will be provided with the basic tools to successfully address project cycle management in its main phases: strategic planning, identification, project design and formulation, fund raising and analysis of a call for proposals, project implementation and evaluation of its impact. The training will combine both theoretical and practical sessions, where concrete case studies will be discussed and analyzed. This activity is part of a series of professional trainings that aim at enhancing the role and technical skills of local BIOs and reinforcing their mid/long term sustainability. The project “Handicraft and Business through Regional Integration and Fair Trade Market” is of a duration of two years and, as part of the EU Central Asia Invest Program, will reinforce the cooperation among Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan in the handicraft sector.
