L.O.R.D A lot is happening in this world Life and death Seem to be close cousins; Even sweet honey nowadays Tastes like sour milk- always Friends close to us Wish death for us Those afar from us Wish life for us Does this not leave you with confusion? I mean When was the last time Your friends ever told you That they love you? That they care about you? When was the last time Your friends hugged you And told you That you matter to them Without you asking or reminding them? However you hear a lot of people Through TV screens Telling you what your friends Could have told you Without you buying them ice-creams Do you not see the pretence? Do you not see their bitterness? Do you not see those Who wish death for you in the wilderness? Are your eyes that blind That you lack vision Of seeing fake white-bright smiles Approaching you from miles? But let me tell you About my Lord. . . No our L.O.R.D (Lord) Who is LIFE and LIGHT Always faithful and ORIGINAL Who helped and REDEEMED us Paid for our sins So that we may have New DESTINATIONS all ending to be with HIM Our biggest FRIEND The passion of the Christ Was to save us So we may be alright. . . And the only passions we have are To be popular Being an actor like Sophie Ndaba Becoming a well-known dancer Turning into a superstar Like Dr. Malinga Being a wealthy investor Like Patrice Motsepe Or a well-known gospel singer Like Rebecca Malope Khaya Mthethwa Yvonne Chakachaka Then when fame hits Spotlight glances We forget our CREATOR And we now think that we know better Look. . . Just because you do not have A knife in your hands with ya Does not mean you are Not a back- stabber And I certainly dont have to remind you About what Judas did to his friend Who is our Saviour But lets be honest. . . Friends so close to us Are most likely to betray us They know our strengths and weaknesses Laws and flaws Our sincere faces And secret phases What makes us joke And what makes us choke The irony here is We end up worshipping them Forgetting our L.O.R.D Our LIFE and LIGHT Our ORIGINAL breath giver Our REDEEMER. . . The most-common-forgotten Thesis in our earthly life is We forget our common DESTINATION And Christs true Passion To love one another Not to hate each other To have friends not frenemies Humanity and unity Remember this In Psalms 24;1 The earth is the Lords And all it contains, The world and those who dwell in it Only GOD has the power To take our lives and souls quicker Brothers and sisters Fathers and mothers Read Joel 2;12 Let us all repent While we still can So we may move away From the hands of the serpent And be with our Shepherd Our L.O.R.D(Lord).
