LA EVENT SATURDAY NOV 2nd LACMA 2013 Art + Film Gala LACMA will honor artist David Hockney and filmmaker Martin Scorsese at the annual gala, presented by Gucci. The gala will be co-chaired by LACMA Trustee Eva Chow and Leonardo DiCaprio. Also being celebrated is the first collaboration between The Film Foundation (founded by Scorsese), LACMA, and the Annenberg Foundation to preserve four films by the acclaimed French filmmaker Agnès Varda. Proceeds from the gala will be used to support LACMA’s initiative to make film more central to the museum’s curatorial programming while also funding LACMA’s broader mission. Special guests will include Rosanna Arquette, John Baldessari, Sacha Baron Cohen & Isla Fisher, James Caan, Fergie & Josh Duhamel, Will Ferrell, Urs Fischer, Jane Fonda, Tony Ressler, Jami Gertz, Vittorio Grigolo, Jon Hamm & Jennifer Westfeldt, Tom Hanks, Tommy Haas & Sara Foster, François-Henri Pinault & Salma Hayek-Pinault, Michael B. Jordan, Jimmy Kimmel & Molly McNearey, Catherine Keener, Jeremy Renner, Ed and Danna Ruscha, Zoe Saldana, Olivia Wilde, Jamie Bell & Evan Rachel Wood, along with a special performance by Sting.
