LAGOS STATE REMAINS THE MOST MARGINALIZED STATE IN NiGERIA: Prior to independence lagos has been a populous city and after independence too. Its population equalls or superceeds that of kano and as a result of its mega city status, economic activity and industrial hob of the country and west africa at large, most importantly is its port and also its past glory as nigeria capital city. But unfortunately which Im gonna spell out without prejudice that lagos is nigeria most marginalised state in terms of federal Allocation, federal project, LGA, population, quota system, ministerial and legislative quota. One of the reason responsible for this is past northern rulers who have delibrately underdeveloped nigeria and also subjugate this ever glorious city to What it has become today. Kano use to have same population with Lagos until it was divided into TWO STATES and yet kano population is presently rated higher than lagos, what a disparity, abi na me no sabi math?...lol. Lagos has never been divided into two rather it has consumed massive territory belonging to OGun state like the Agbara, ikorodu, Epe, sango, alagbado, iju saga, etc.... And lagos have the highest rate of migrants from all over nigeria and report has shown lagos have the highest level of migration. Lagos have over 2million migrant yearly. Idealy lagos state is suppose to have over 60 LG, and and minimum of 10 legislative slot. Past rulers have been uncover to have delibrately under develope lagos like general mohammadu Buhari who cancelled lagos metropolitan rail just to hinder the fast developemental pace of lagos. They keep counting cows and cattle just to make some of this state larger than lagos but we know that the shabby population census theyve been conducting is to further their dominance intent. Lets face reality, will the north have so many population, state and local govt if their is resource control or fiscal federalism? Taking into cognizance how some of this state emmerged cos of nepotism, and not only northern states, there are some in the south which ordinarily arent suppose to be state with very low or Zero IGR like ebonyi state and ekiti, kwara, enugu. The solution is resource control... And I hope those dumb head discuss it without ethno relifous bias... Well, prejudice cant be allienated with a notable cameroonian in the circus, and Im sure ther quite a bunch from neigbouring Chad and Niger... Gbam!
