LANSING – A 2-month-old boy who was critically injured in an incident police are investigating as child abuse has died, officials said. Julian Alexi was pronounced dead Friday at 1:45 p.m., Lansing police Capt. Daryl Green said. Detectives are continuing to investigate. The case is classified as an open investigation, Green said. No one is in custody in connection with the death, he said. Green said no other information would be released. Lansing police were called the early morning of Sept. 3 to an apartment in the 600 block of Sadie Court for an infant who was not breathing. When officers arrived, Julian’s mother and her boyfriend were attempting CPR, police have said. The infant had been in critical condition at Sparrow Hospital since that day.
