LANTAKA HOTEL BY THE SEA, INC despite the Siege of Zamboanga and many difficulties has managed to survived and continues to be a LANDMARK and survivor. With courage despite initial objections, I put down / demolished the hollow blocks walls infront of the Hotel and converted it into a COFFEE Shop; installed CCTVS IN KEY CRITICAL Areas; renovated and brighten up the Lobby area, placed two sets of upright conditioners with a souvenir shop for tourists and other guests; made the hotel conducive even for disabled persons; invested in the procurement of elevator; transformed the laundry area into a Vio Bar and Hall good for 250 persons with decent comfort rooms, renovated the dinning hall and created other function areas for small meetings; developed the sea portion of the Hotel and made possible others amenities; despite LIMITED resources, we started to renovate some rooms and made available some Suites for our guests. OLD HOTEL with limited resources but relevant to the SIGNS of the Times. Truly, one of the historic landmark of our City aside from the Shrine, Metropolitan Cathedral, Mosques and the City Hall. A hotel helping in employment, in the payment of taxes due to the local and national government, in tourism generation, ready to share Zamboanqueno Hospitality and Scenic Beauty, complimented by Nuevo Zamboanga giving hope, scholarships and other opportunities to our young people.
