LAST CHANCE TO SAVE A WONDERFUL BOY Gorgeous, AVERAGE-rated Jacob is back on the list tonight. Please work extra hard on finding a foster or adopter for him! A volunteer writes: Beautiful blockhead alert! Jacob is a longnlean kind of guy who weighs just 50 pounds but many of those must surely be carried on his majestic head. The few scars he bears only add to his regal good looks and his russet coat shines in the sun as he strolls around the yard, a noble King surveying his kingdom. Jacob absolutely adores his fellow canines and meets them calmly with a softly wagging tail, even getting up on his hind legs to greet a visiting pal through the fence. His other great love (aside from us humans of course) is food of all kinds. He eats every treat I offer with an eager but gentle mouth and later, when we return to his den just as lunch arrives, he vacuums up the whole bowl in no time flat! If I toss the ball hes happy to chase but has no interest in guarding or picking it up and we both benefit from the exercise as I run to grab it again. He welcomes my caresses (though hes a bit sensitive around his head) and will spontaneously jump up for hugs too. When its finally time to return to his kennel poor Jacob is less than enthusiastic and as I walk away a pitiful little whimper follows me out, this guy is a heartbreaker to the last. Whoever adopts my handsome beau will be taking home the best of both worlds when they welcome athletic yet easygoing Jacob into their life.
