LAST DAY EVENTS . My Journey . I feel fortunate that when I was 18 years old I met a Seventh day Adventist Christian, Matt Byers. Before meeting Matt I believed nothing about God. I thought religion was full of chaos – one person worshipping a statue, another a frog and some people talking gibberish. Today I read that “there are 19 major world religions which are subdivided into a total of 270 large religious groups. Christianity, itself, is reported to be divided into thousands of denominations. They cannot all be right but are they all wrong? Is there life after death? Are there any real answers to our questions? It seemed as it none of it was true, just fairy tales and that I would live and die without any evidence of anything beyond the small life time I would have on Planet Earth and soon I would just become part of the soil and others would walk upon not even knowing I ever existed! . Today the Bible also tells us about the shortness of our lives – It says, “What is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.” James 4:14. But the Bible, if it is true, offers everyone a solution to the problems of sin, suffering and death. Jesus promises you and me eternal everlasting life if we will accept His solution for our problem. God’s word tells us that He, Jesus, is our Creator (John 1:1-3) and that He left heaven to come to earth as a human, – God in human flesh, to live the life you and I should have lived and die the death our sins deserve so He could cleanse us from sin and give us the life He deserves. Romans 3:23; 6:23; Revelation 3:21. He promises you, “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” I needed to find out two things. Did Jesus tell us the truth? And it is true what does Jesus mean by “whoever believes?” That’s what I deal with in my book Prophecy Made Easy – prophecymadeeasy . You see Bible prophecy has predicted the future over and over again in detail – you will see that in my book Prophecy Made Easy prophecymadeeasy/chapter02.htm Notice how 50 different prophecies that were made hundreds of years before the event occurred happened exactly how prophecy foretold. And in chapter nine of my book, notice that the very year Jesus was baptized was predicted 500 years earlier by the prophet Daniel and Daniel also predicted the exact year of His death. . To understand the future we must understand the past. We must understand why this world and why you and I are facing problems that we cannot solve by ourselves. Who would have guessed that the funny guy Robin Williams who made so many people laugh was distraught enough to kill himself. He, apparently, had lots of money from the movies in which he acted. Why is there so much suffering in our world? Where did sin and suffering come from?
