LAST WORDS: On October 15, 1972, Major League Baseball marked Jackie Robinson’s 25th anniversary of breaking the color barrier by inviting him to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at Game 2 of the 1972 World Series in Cincinnati. As author Michael Long notes in this short video, typical of Robinson, he went out with a rhetorical flourish.
