LATE PRESIDENT YARADUAS SEVEN POINT AGENDA 1. POWER AND ENERGY : To achieve adequate power generation and supply. For domestic and industrial purposes and subsequently boosting economic activites. 2. FOOD SECURITY AND AGRICULTURE : To revolutionalize the agricultural sector and improve technology in modern farming so as to increase yield for self sufficiency in food production and subsequently export food. 3. WEALTH CREATION AND EMPLOYMENT : To diverify the economy and enhance the revenue base, therefore increase employment opportunities for Nigerians and develop human capacity. 4. LAND REFORMS: To amend the existing land law, to allow access for large private businesses and commercialized farming to boost the economy. 5. MASS TRANSPORTATION : To develop an efficient transport system for goods and people. Good road and good road network, modern rail and water transport system that is superb and a development of an enviable air transport system. 6. SECURITY: To enhance nationwide security, especially in the Niger Delta region in order to allow for internal and foreign investment and safeguard of life and properties. 7. EDUCATION : To improve human resource capacity building, upgrading of facilities in the federal educational institution and reforms to improve quality of and access to education.
