LATEST UPDATE(via Sundar Rajan): Dr S.p. Udayakumar was going for United Nations Special Rapporteur on Human Rights Defenders meeting at Khathmandhu, Nepal and has been asked to stay back at the immigration. The local airport authorities asked him to stay back and did not allow him to board the flight. Travel to Nepal just requires a proof that you are an Indian citizen. He has no arrest warrants or anything pending against him. The cases that has been foisted on him were asked to be withdrawn by the SC which the state govt has not yet done. The airport authorities called up the SP of Tirunelveli district and he has said that he has no clue on that and he cant give an any instructions without getting orders from TOP
