LAY A SOLID FOUNDATION!- Part One. (Message to Young Ministers). When constructing a house, civil engineers concentrate more on the foundation; WHY? To them, it is the most important stage because it determines how strong/high your building can go, and also the longevity of the house. Thus, before a structure is set up, the foundation must be given utmost importance and time taken to make it a solid one! Any rush/mistake in laying the foundation could lead to unprecedented and sudden damage of lives and properties; not only for the building concerned, but also those around it! So also, many dont establish a solid foundation for their ministry before jumping out! This can create a huge challenge, if not the total collapse of it! It is expedient to lay a solid foundation of HOLINESS first on which whatever calling/ministry God has given us can stand the test of time! This is a message especially to young ministers whom God is preparing for the great work ahead! Its no doubt that among some of us here, we have Pastors, Missionaries, Revivalist, etc; but also a pity that some havent even recognised Gods calling upon them...I pray God in His infinite mercy begins to reveal His divine purpose to them and help them recognise& discover the gifts/treasures He has deposited in them and the grace to faithfully use them all on the altar of purity wrapped with humility in Jesus name-Amen. To those who have recognised and accepted Gods calling upon their lives, I rejoice with you! But remember, the knowledge of this doesnt make you superior nor inferior to others; but reveals the great tasks ahead of you and the constant need for Gods daily presence, grace and power in your life; knowing fully well that the day you discovered this calling& started walking in it, you became a terror to the devil and also one of his targets! Surprised? NO! The devil wouldnt waste his time on those he has already captured, but goes about scheming ways to get the special, called and chosen ones....Scared? NO! Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world...faithful is He that has called us, and also will do it! God has given us POWER over all...So no need to worry/fear...Praise God...We are more than conquerors...We are hidden with Christ in God...No access for the devil; hes been shut out forever! To young ministers, Ill implore you to prayerfully search out Gods standard of holiness and make that the bedrock for your ministry. Look at the saints of old and the some of the great men of God we still have today; well arrive at the conclusion that: to have an impactful, lasting ministry; IT MUST BE BUILT ON GODS STANDARD OF HOLINESS! Those who started off without practising Gods standard of holiness; though thrived at the beginning, but fell off along the line and became empty barrels. (May you and I not be among the empty barrels). Holiness is a great KEY in ministry that opens doors to miracles, signs& wonders. Holiness within and without...Holiness according to Gods pattern and not about your denomination. Let others see Jesus in you! It is important to ask God to teach us to be holy...in our thoughts, actions, deeds, dressing etc. Dont be deceived; no matter how much the devil makes it look as if a man who has diluted the Truth, is thriving in ministry; hes got a plan in the corner to get such down! My beloved brothers/sisters, Holiness is a leverage to build a lasting ministry! The devil fears a man that is holy and righteous! Today, no doubt, many are building according to their self-made designs/standards and not according to Gods standards...what a pity...never be found among such people; because youll give account on the final day! Run your ministry(either in word, music, healing, etc) according to Gods dictates/instructions/pattern! As a minister, let your dressing, conversation, actions; point others to Christ and not be a stumbling block to others! People look up to God in you, dont mislead them! If you cannot conform to Gods standard, its better to drop the ministerial mantle and not invite Gods wrath! That gift of God upon you is to feed nations and for God to use you mightily, you must be ready to say NO to the world, and YES to Gods will& ways always! Dont wait till you are replaced! You either conform to Gods standards, or you rebel and be cut-short; GOD FORBID! Let humility, submission, meekness, gentleness characterise your life! Occupying a ministerial office isnt a joke, you are in for a great task! Permit me to say, true leadership is servanthood! You must be ready to be trampled upon! If you are too big to be broken by God and to conform to His pattern of holiness, then you are too small to be called a minister! Great men of God thrive on Holiness! Make Holiness your foundation!!! Remove not the ancient landmark! Do not add nor subtract from Gods Word to please men; say the TRUTH raw as it is! 2Thessalonians 2:15-17(GNT): So then, our friends, stand firm and HOLD ON TO THOSE TRUTHS which were taught you, both in our preaching and in our letter. May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father...encourage you and strengthen you to always do and say what is good. Practice Gods Word first, before you take it all around!!! Beloved, that ministry can only survive on the solid foundation of Holiness; you either build on it, or build on another and be prepared for its great fall!!! Funmibi Cares but GOD CARES MORE!
