LCC - LUTHERAN CHURCH IN THE CITY The presence of the Lutheran Church in Detroit, like the city, has been shrinking for the last 50 years. We cannot continue to do what we have done in the past, but must change, and do so now. Within this context, many persons are beginning to move back into the city. We are using existing church, community, civic, and business resources, to engage these persons in enriching their spirituality. Be it by inspiring worship opportunities at the Historic Trinity Cathedral, by various bible study groups and spiritual discussion groups throughout the central city, or by providing meaningful engaging service projects, we continue to seek partnerships with suburban parishes and people to bridge the divide between urban and suburban churches and members. We also have a Web site citychurchlcc.org - that serves as a network for all Lutheran ministries and as a way to identify service opportunities in the Metro Detroit area.
