LCC is participating in the 2015 Solar Decathlon - and we need your help! There are activities for everyone - you dont have to know how to swing a hammer - help is needed in many non-construction activities. This is for the entire LCC community, coordinated through Design and Construction Technologies. We are also partnering with Ferris State University, and the Kendall College of Design. The U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon challenges collegiate teams to design, build, and operate solar-powered houses that are cost-effective, energy-efficient, and attractive. The winner of the competition is the team that best blends affordability, consumer appeal, and design excellence with optimal energy production and maximum efficiency.
