Your application process will start with your phone call, e-mail, or letter to me, the applicant officer. Blue Angels Applicant Fact Sheet 4. 2013Blue Angels Demonstration Schedule 5. 2013Blue Angels Officers CNATRAINST 1301.4H outlines the procedures and forms required of you to follow and complete. Please ensure you complete all the forms in their entirety to include a full-length 4” x 5” military photograph (khakis/charlies). The two formsrequired to be in my possession prior to attending your first brief are the “Request for Consideration” letter and your Commanding Officer’s endorsement. Any additional letters of recommendation (i.e. Ex COs or Ex Blue Angels) will compliment your package. We must receive your completed package by 13 May 2013. Endorsements or recommendations can be added at anytime. Air shows provide excellent opportunities for you to introduce yourself to the team and become familiar with our routine. It is also a great opportunity for us to get to know you in both a professional and social atmosphere. During the show season, I will email all applicants our schedule of events for the upcoming weekend. Prior to attending a show, please notify me via phone or e-mail NLT the Wednesday before the show so that I may get an estimate of who is coming. The first brief you may attend will be on Friday, March 15th, in El Centro, Calif. You may always arrive at an air show unannounced as long as I have first received a “Request for Consideration” letter and your CO’s letter of endorsement. The last air show applicants may attend will be inRockford, IL on June 1st and 2nd . There are many misconceptions and rumors concerning the application process. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly if you have any questions. In general, we are looking for outstanding Navy and Marine Corps officers who can speak publicly, handle difficult situations, and receive constructive criticism in a team environment. It is paramount we represent the Navy, Marine Corps, and our country in the best light.
