LDS Church President Heber J Grant years ago told Elder Marion G Romney that You always keep your eye on the President of the Church and if he ever tells you to do anything, and it is wrong, and you do it, the Lord will bless you for it. That statement is a great stumbling block to some who have become disaffected with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Its probably because they dont keep reading the rest of President Grants statement: But you don’t need to worry. The Lord will never let his mouthpiece lead the people astray.’” In other words, the likelihood that a prophet would actually ask a member of the Church to do something wrong is so infinitesimally small that it approaches zero.
