LEAD Me Lord ......I PRAY!!! Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies– Psalm 27:11 Yesterday we learned about the intricacies of PRIDE ......how to abate the TRAP of falling into our Prideful-Self ..... Today lets take a look at the FIRST and VITAL Priority in making ANY decision .......Doing this requires us to look HONESTLY at God’s WILL ....and God’s WAY!!! FACT ......The decisions GOD prompts us to make .......will ALWAYS be in COMPLETE Agreement with His PERFECT Word ....the Bible!!!! ......God NEVER leads anyone to LIVE or ACT contrary to HIS Word .......because HIS Word IS ....HIS Way for US!!!! In todays passage .....the psalmist PRAYS to be lead in a PLAIN path ........This is the ONLY kind of guidance that would do any of us any good .....isn’t it??? .........If we were required to make decisions according to wisdom we DONT have ........futures we CANNOT see .......or knowledge that is NOT ours ........then we would be doomed to failure!!! ....In order to move in a forward direction .....honestly ....CLARITY IS REQUIRED!!!! A Plain Path means .......a Path that we CAN understand ......that we CAN see .......that we ARE able to follow!! SO ....if your feeling like you do not know which way to step ....maybe it is time to Pray and ask God for CLARITY ....and for Him to reveal the PLAIN Path!!!!! Finally ....... the psalmist asks for Plain Direction BECAUSE of his enemies ........ Friend .....If you do not Recognize that you are facing enemies in every decision you make .....SMALL AND GREAT ........then you are deeply mis-informed of the reality of this world!!!!! And walking in this kind of LACK of RECOGNITION is exactly the position the Master Enemy wants you to be in ..... Truth is .......We ALL have enemy desires in our own heart that are spawned from Selfish Lust .....and Pride........and Envy .......We ALL have enemies in the spiritual world that seek to draw us AWAY from the Path of GODLINESS by ANY means necessary ......Our WORST enemies in a particular decision may even BE well-meaning friends or family members .......whose priorities for us are NOT eternal .......or God-CENTERED!!! How appropriate then ........for us ALL to PRAY for God’s WAY .......to be made PLAIN .......in spite of the MANY enemies we SURELY DO or WILL face in the WAY of Christian living!!!!! Good morning Heaven Father ......my Eternal Loving Abba ......Teach me Lord ......Your Ways .......and Lead me in a PLAIN Path ....that I may see with clarity the TRUE DIRECTION of Your Plan .......Lord I am all to aware of the enemy that roams around seeking whom he can devour ......Today I ESTABLISH THE BLOOD LINE ....Between me and that enemy .....I speak the Name of Jesus into each and every decision .......I stand disciplined in YOU .......Father I willing walk in COMPLETE AGREEMENT WITH YOUR WORD .......I give you my EVERYTHINGS ........Be relevant in the lives of my friends today ....as they seek Your face and look to embrace the PLAIN Path You so lovingly have placed in front of them .....Help them to renounce confusion and lack of understanding ...help us ALL Father to abide in the VINE .....Lead US LORD ....WE PRAY .....In Jesus name I pray .....AMEN and AMEN!!!! Hear Him saying ...Take My yoke upon you and LEARN from Me .......for I am gentle and humble in heart ......and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS ..........This is the PLAIN and SIMPLE TRUTH ......You Are Loved!!!!
