LEAKY GUT AND DAIRY CONSUMPTION Just wondering about drinking raw milk - I am lucky enough to live about 10 minutes away from a health food store that sells organic, raw, grass fed milk products (Washington state). I tried some almost immediately after reading your book and got diarrhea (tried it 2 days in a row). I have MS (but hopefully not for long!), and am wondering if consuming raw milk is an issue (considering the likelihood I have leaky gut). Even if the lactose is digested by the lactase in the milk, wont the casein be a problem for me? I appreciate this website and your book! Thank you so much. Many people have found that if they consume raw milk with some sauerkraut or another fermented food it helps them digest it with no issues. They started with a very small amount of raw milk. Another thing people have found beneficial is raw goats milk again from goats out on pasture so you are getting all the omega 3s and B12. The third thing that has been helpful is some people have started with raw milk kefir. Kefir is already partially digested making it very easy for your body to absorb and a good source of nutrition. I hope these suggestions help!
