LEFT-HANDED IN MID-LIFE? When Richard Quest of CNN questioned with a yell of disgust and probable frustration what is wrong with people?during his program,being the nauseating attitude of certain people,I laughed.My laughter wasnt A-to-Z of amusement,but in empathy to Richard and a through understanding of his plight or queer predicament.But truly,what is wrong with people? To what extent do we confidently assert our humanity of worth?Or humanity should undergo an evaluative process to better avail us of an overwhelming understanding of what humanity means?I have,without mincing words,always proclaimed my straying into this absurd enigma called life - the worlds ways are irrevocably strange to me,learning its twisted ways has remained an agony of some sort.I just cant hit the bulls eye even in mid-life,never will I! Painstakingly taking piecemeal the dissection of human behaviour,in all its execrable nature,I come to the conclusion that we are inately and inexorably absurd!It doesnt seem to be restricted to a particular clime or race.A mild or marked difference might be noticed in behavioural absurdity amongst races,maybe as a result of geographical or environmental influences,but a profound assessment of man would reveal a similarity in the core of human nature. Perhaps I unwittingly betray myself to the gallows of criticism by being branded a misanthrope,but the fact remains that I just find it near impossible to fathom the human nature in all its sly,wily,manipulative,selfish,conceited,insincere,devilish characteristics that are sometimes buried inside but which spring up when mildly or forcefully activated. I concede my naivity!I never can understand the ways of the world as I wander inside.I am no saint,the garment of sainthood hasnt even rub off on me,no!But it sickens my soul when all the negative traits boldly assert themselves in mans day-to-day dealings. Thats how we are made!deal with it!,said a friend.But Im lost in the maze!!
