LEGAL NOTICE The tentative assessment roll of the Village of Rockville Centre has been completed by the Assessor and filed with the office of the Village Administrator. The tentative assessment roll may be seen and examined by any person during business hours from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday at the Building Department, 110 Maple Avenue, and until 3pm February 18, 2014 and on that day the Board of Assessment Review will meet to review grievances in relation to assessments from 4pm to 8pm at Village Hall, One College Place, Rockville Centre, New York, 11570. As required by Real Property Tax Law, Section 1408, Subdivision 2, grievant must file a sworn grievance with the Village Assessor at the Building Department on or before February 18, 2014. The grievance must specify the grounds upon which it is alleged that the assessment is incorrect. If a hardcopy of the grievance is being filed, three (3) copies of this grievance are required. If filing on-line be sure to print out 1 completed copy of the RP-524 form along with the Village generated confirmation page and keep for your records. All grievance applications are to be returned to the Building Department Office at 110 Maple Avenue by Feb. 18th by 3:00 PM.
