LEGIONNAIRE OF THE WEEK This week’s Legionnaire (member) of the week is the inspirational Poppy Reid!!! Poppy has been part of the group for a little over a year now and her progress has been astonishing. One of the most inspirational, enthusiastic and popular members of the group who trains 4-5x per week. Poppy has totally transformed her body and mindset, leading by example with her intensity, commitment and focus while constantly encouraging and motivating those around her. Poppy’s disciplined approach to fitness and clean living is extraordinary. Whether it be dragging her partner Mahan to the gym on Christmas Day, training every day while holidaying in Fiji or analysing her diet, Poppy’s dedication to her healthy clean living lifestyle makes her a true “FITSPO” for every other member in this group. Incredibly, to test her fitness boundaries, she ran a half marathon at the end of last year, having never run more than 4km (with rest stops!) before she started training with us in April last year. Poppy’s next fitness goals are the City to Surf and a 2nd attempt at the “half-marathon” later in the year. CONGRATULATIONS Poppy, this week’s LEGIONNAIRE OF THE WEEK!!! Here’s what Poppy had to say about her fitness journey as a LEGIONNAIRE…… “Fitness and the healthy lifestyle that goes along with it has completely changed my life. I remember how awkward and shy I was during the first few weeks at training, and if I am honest with myself, I was like that in most aspects of my life. A year in and I’ve lost body fat, ditched my inhibitions and gained a family. Ross, Luke and the girls are the BEST motivation and support system I could have ever hoped for. I look forward to pushing myself every session, just to see what I am capable of – and the ego boost from toning up isn’t bad either!! It’s also nice to see how my goals have changed; I started out with a goal weight in mind and now I know that the number on the scale is irrelevant – my weight hasn’t changed from what it was 12 months ago yet I see a big difference. Thanks for the big shout-out Ross and Luke and to all the girls I train with, I look forward to reaching our goals together!!!!”
