LESSON FOR TODAY: Very appreciative that the VP of Aerospace of where Im consulting at shared this with me. Please take 6 minutes to watch and learn. The attached video, courtesy of Asad Siddiqui in Corporate IT, is heartwarming while also demonstrating the broad applicability & power of lean principles (which are a foundational element of CBS). Relief workers at a food bank learn the concepts of Muda, Mura & Muri. They experience the fundamentals of single-piece flow, material presentation / replenishment & kaizen. Most importantly, they are overwhelmed by the transformative affect these principles have on their ability to serve those in need (their customers) … and how they have improved the work (reducing the burden of their people). After watching this, I can totally apply this to my business to be more efficient and productive!! Even I learned something today!
