LET ME MAKE IT QUITE CLEAR that I had a really stressful time with the PODS. This was due to not always being allowed to take sound levels at the start of the Technical Rehearsal. Taking sound levels is a simple and quick (with cooperation) basic operation which allow the sound mixer to note the level on calibration marks on each faded; so that you know where to fade up to **BEFORE** an artist starts to speak or sing. Anyone can fade up after they have started, therefore missing the first few words (which is what a member of the orchestra told me happened after I left). Because that was not done, I had to guess where to fade up every time a radiomic channed was opened, and I used about 10 readiomics, so it is impossible to remember where it was the last time. Also, radiomics are swapped between artists between scenes, so a new user has a different setting. I resigned because of the stress, risking feedback every time I faded up another channel. They offered to let me tell them what the problems were, so I said I would carry on if they did this. The situation still continued. On my last show (Fiddler on the Roof), I did get to take sound levels on all radiomics, and the orchestra mics [this for the first time!]. But the opening number was very difficult technically [see below].
