LET US BUILD THIS HOUSE ON INTEGRITY. HEART: the wellspring of life! The Position you hold in life may cause people to take notice of you, but only your INTEGRITY will cause them to Respect you and be willing to follow you. And INTEGRITY is EARNED by trading Popularity, Financial Reward and Personal Progress and Aggrandisement; the feeling that you value something more, something you refuse to give up for Profit and Popularity. INTEGRITY breeds Influence. You cant manage people and anticipate followership without INTEGRITY. Talking one way and Leading another will injure you. Time and Circumtances and History will surely find you out. You take them for a Ride, you say i can always eloquently coin my plea, weave a veil around their eyes, put a hand on their shoulder in friendly gesture, lead them the Dark lonely alley and stab them in the back over and over. You are wrong. When people see a Difference between what you demand of others and what you demand of yourself, it erodes their confidence in you, like a broken egg its hard to contain, like a rope cut into two, no matter how you try to tie it, theres always a loosed end. The Fastest route into the future is not usually Honourable and sustainable. School Management come and go, Alumni Leadership changes, but one thing is Constant; THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION. Let us all be GUARDED AND GUIDED with this TRUTH as we lay a solid and enduring foundation for the Kogi State University Alumni to thrive. Let us not be infused by the interest and aspiration of one man or a Few, we have done it before as student and the End is result is Evident. With all OUR INTEGRITY lets do this one Differently. We will NEVER FAIL. Thank you all.
