LET US GO BACK TO THE BIBLE The truth of God is in the word of God(Bible). Christians are not under any obligation to pay tithe to churches today. Many people are being deceived through this way. The tithing law was given to the nation of Israel. They used foodstuffs to pay tithe and they paid it annually. These Bible quotations are available for verification; NUMBERS 18:21 “Behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tithes in Israel as an inheritance in return for the work which they perform, the work of the tabernacle of meeting. NUMBERS 18:24 For the tithes of the children of Israel, which they offer up as a heave offering to the Lord, I have given to the Levites as an inheritance; therefore I have said to them, ‘Among the children of Israel they shall have no inheritance.’ NEHEMIAH 10:37-38 (37) to bring the firstfruits of our dough, our offerings, the fruit from all kinds of trees, the new wine and oil, to the priests, to the storerooms of the house of our God; and to bring the tithes of our land to the Levites, for the Levites should receive the tithes in all our farming communities. (38) And the priest, the descendant of Aaron, shall be with the Levites when the Levites receive tithes; and the Levites shall bring up a tenth of the tithes to the house of our God, to the rooms of the storehouse. NEHEMIAH 12:44 And at the same time some were appointed over the rooms of the storehouse for the offerings, the firstfruits, and the tithes, to gather into them from the fields of the cities the portions specified by the Law for the priests and Levites; for Judah rejoiced over the priests and Levites who ministered. DEUTERONOMY 26:12 “When you have finished laying aside all the tithe of your increase in the third year—the year of tithing —and have given it to the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, so that they may eat within your gates and be filled. DEUTERONOMY 14:22-26 (22) “You shall truly tithe all the increase of your grain that the field produces year by year. (24) But if the journey is too long for you, so that you are not able to carry the tithe, or if the place where the Lord your God chooses to put His name is too far from you, when the Lord your God has blessed you, (25) then you shall exchange it for money, take the money in your hand, and go to the place which the Lord your God chooses. (26) And you shall spend that money for whatever your heart desires: for oxen or sheep, for wine or similar drink, for whatever your heart desires; you shall eat there before the Lord your God, and you shall rejoice, you and your household. 2 CHRONICLES 31:5-6 (5) As soon as the commandment was circulated, the children of Israel brought in abundance the firstfruits of grain and wine, oil and honey, and of all the produce of the field; and they brought in abundantly the tithe of everything. (6) And the children of Israel and Judah, who dwelt in the cities of Judah, brought the tithe of oxen and sheep; also the tithe of holy things which were consecrated to the Lord their God they laid in heaps. NEHEMIAH 13:12 (12) Then all Judah brought the tithe of the grain and the new wine and the oil to the storehouse. MALACHI 1:1 (1) The burden of the word of the Lord to Israel by Malachi. MALACHI 3:8-10 (8) “Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. (9) You are cursed with a curse, For you have robbed Me, Even this whole nation. (10) Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it. NEHEMIAH 13:5 And he had prepared for him a large room, where previously they had stored the grain offerings, the frankincense, the articles, the tithes of grain, the new wine and oil, which were commanded to be given to the Levites and singers and gatekeepers, and the offerings for the priests. HEBREWS 8:7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second. HEBREWS 7:12 For the priesthood being changed, of necessity there is also a change of the law. MARK 7:7 And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.
