LET US HAVE FAITH THAT RIGHT MAKES MIGHT - Good morning, Facebook Friends and supporters - Over the course of this campaign, Ive been reading from Lincoln on Leadership, by Donald T. Phillips. It has been encouraging for me, just as one of my early supporters suggested it would. The author writes, Every man of courage must, sooner or later, deal with unjust criticism. And all individuals who lead other people, especially those who enter the political arena, likely will be subjected to severe criticism as well as personal attacks on their honor and character. He gives this quote from Abraham Lincoln, when he spoke to his party faithful on February 27, 1860 - Neither let us be slandered from our duty by false accusations against us, nor frightened from it by menaces of destruction to the government, nor of dungeons to ourselves. Let us have faith that right makes might, and in that faith let us to the end dare to do our duty as we understand it. Ruth and I both, have faith that is required at this time. Gods will be done!
