LETHAL AMMUNITION AGAINST NAMIBIA IN CAPRIVI CASE I say, - TopicsExpress

LETHAL AMMUNITION AGAINST NAMIBIA IN CAPRIVI CASE I say, comrades, Omkwanekamba just finished reading the relevant chapters of the most authoritative book (please see cover above) on the issue of distinct Caprivian identity. Written by Caprivian academic, Cde Dr Bennett Kangumu in 2011 and entitled Contesting Caprivi: A History of Colonial Isolation and Regional Nationalism ln Namibia, the book speaks directly to the issue of the marathon and controversial Caprivi High Treason Trial! While Cde Kamungu is no supporter of the Caprivi secessionist movement, on the one hand, he constructively demonstrates that Namibia lacks sovereignty over Caprivi. UNAM Vice Chancellor, Cde Prof Dr Lazarus Hangula, in his introduction to Cde Kangumu book, states that Cde Kangumu convincingly shows that things like the Odendaal Plan, differential treatment of Christian missions, the education and migrant labour systems and isolated and separate treatment of Caprivi as a particular colonial administrative unit have of late ushered in secessionist activities in the Caprivi. Moreover, cde Hangula drops this bombshell: These topics are of major importance to Namibia in view of the current Treason Trial of 100 Caprivian separatists! Cde Hangula is a boundary academic! In his own expert testimony last February in High Court, Omkwanekamba has strongly testified that legally, geographically, colonially, historically and ethnically, Caprivi Strip has never been part of Namibia. Hence, Namibia has no sovereignty or title over Caprivi Strip and as such Caprivians owe no allegiance to Namibian such that Namibia cannot charge these people with a crime of high treason!
