It has been said that;Nobility of a character and the progress of society cannot be produced by fear and suspicion which are disorganising and centrifugal forces.Trust and confidence in one another are necessary for a good life and a progressive society It is a communial task now for all sons and the daughters of the soil to contribute powerfully and strongly in a positive way so that our community can progress.If we all agree to work together for the betterment of our fathersland without fear,discrimination,nepotism but to embrace peace,love,unity and the spirits of oneness in respectful of our political difference and perceptions,we are bound to be great. In the process of selecting leaders that will champion our historical course,we must be sure about two things,namely:that our principles in selecting our leaders are just,and that our methods are practical for nothing defeat their own ends so easily as unjust principles and impractical methods of approach.Having agreed on the fundamental principles,it becomes necessary for us to take the next step,namely:to agree as to common methods in the application of the principles.This is a very important step,because even though people may agree as to the principles,if they do not agree as to the methods of application it would not be possible for us to work together for progress sake. We all need to put all our hands on desk so as to have cross-fertilisation of positive ideas that will seriously change our attitudes of mind and to eliminate fear cos fear is nothing except a drain of energy. Markyou,the belief that God will do everything for a man is as untenable as the belief that man can do everything for himself.If two is based on lack of faith,then to expect God to do everything for our land while we do nothing is not faith but superstition.We all need to stand up and fight for our rights,progress of our land,freedom from the hand of oppressors and as well as to break the shackles and menacles of all clogs in the pivot wheels of our community progress. It is a clarion calls to all ranks and files of Ile-oluji kingdom in accelerating the progress of our dear Kingdom so as not to be keeping on lagging behind.The future belongs to those who see and believed in the beauty of their dream. I felt and still feel that a truly public- spirited person should accept public office not for what he can get for himself — such as the profit and glamour of office — but for the opportunity which it offers him of serving his people to the best of his ability, by promoting their welfare and happiness. As Latin says; Tempora mutantur,et nos mutamur in illis- Times change,and we must change with the Time Lets change the music and fine tune it to our sweetness!
