LETS HELP GOVERNMENT RECRUIT REPLACEMENTS FOR POSITIONS WHERE PERSONS WERE DISMISSED for For Failure to Return Home. Please recommend Liberians who can fill these positions on the basis of qualification, experience, merit, competence, and potential for success. Please be informed that the GLOBAL ORGANIZATION for a BETTER & ACCOUNTABLE LIBERIA (GLOBAL) will vet each candidate suggested and prepare a short list for submission to the President. The vetting process will be standardized across positions. Here are the positions and a brief blurb for each position 1. Commissioner, Governance Commission - have a general understanding of: a) the constitution, b) devolution of power, c) socio-political-economic history of Liberia and current dynamics, d) legal and political reform, e) civil engagement, f) transparency, integrity, & accountability, g) geo-politics, especially regional; h) policy research, formulation, implementation, and coordination, and i) monitoring, evaluation, & research. 2. Commissioner, Public Procurement and Concessions Commission a) understands all forms of public procurement and concessions, b) knowledgable of supply chain & logistics, c) understands the GoL budgeting & expenditure process, d) ability to monitor procuring entities compliance with the PP&CC Act, and e) understands efficiency, competition, and the economy 3. Deputy Minister for Administration and Public Safety, Ministry of Justice a) capable of deputizing for Minister of Justice, b) understands public administration and public safety, c) capable of coordinating national security, d) understands finance & auditing, human resources, procurement, manpower, and maintenance, and e) ability to administer and supervise all functions of the ministry 4. Deputy Minister for Economic Affairs, Ministry of Justice a) Institute all legal proceedings necessary for contracts of the government of Liberia contracts; b) Furnish opinions as to legal matters related to GoL economic activities; c) render legal services to the president and other agencies of the Executive Branch of Government; d) review and first sign-off for ALL contracts of the GoL; e) provide legal services on bi/multi-lateral economic relationships; and f) provide legal support for economic crime investigations All Assistant Ministers must have degrees in the respective area or an inter-disciplinary and closely related degree with at least 5 years experience. 5. Assistant Minister for Prisons, Ministry of Justice 6. Assistant Minister for Afro-Asian Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs 7. Assistant Minister for Administration, Ministry of Public Works 8.
