LETS LOOK AT NATIONALS ROCK STAR ECONOMY Their imaginary rock star economy is based on 3 things: 1. Dairy farming 2. Christchurch rebuild 3. House prices Im no economist, but being reliant on these 3 things for our economic well being is a complete farce, and leaves us dangerously and hopelessly exposed. Ask yourself these simple questions:- 1) What happens is there is a decline in dairy exports (see below - its already happening, and rapidly!) 2) Four years after the Chch earthquakes, how would you rate Gerry Brownlee and Nationals performance - below par, woeful, pathetic ? 3) Rising house prices - how has this helped New Zealanders? It has certainly helped wealthy property investors, and overseas speculators, but for most people it has been a major contributing factor to a much lower standard of living - through paying more for buying houses, more for rents, and forcing others to live in sub standard, cold and damp, rental accommodation, because National turn a blind eye to their multi-property owning benefactors raking it in at the expense of our childrens health. Our disposable incomes have shrank as food and power prices have gone through the roof while wages remain stagnant. Unemployment is almost double what it was when John Key and National came to power, 280,000 kids are living in poverty, and we have record overseas debt in excess of $80 Billion. Wake up people - were being taken for a ride - John Key and his cronies are setting themselves up for life, at our expense! VOTE NATIONAL OUT - WE DESERVE A BETTER, MORE CARING PROGRESSIVE GOVT, AND A GENUINELY STRONG ECONOMY!
