LETS MAKE THIS HAPPEN TOGETHER: The situation in a nutshell is this -- the results of Annies Louisville testing indicate she has a rare condition (chiara: pronounced kee-ar-ay) where the brain has basically herniated into the spinal column. There is also a large, fluid filled area called a syrinx that is blocking the flow of spinal column fluid and causing problems. Brain and spine surgery are recommended immediately. There is a special center in Cincinnati where they do nothing BUT deal with chiari. We are working to get the children up there -- perhaps as soon as this week -- for priority evaluation and a treatment plan. Insurance will not cover this (though insurance will cover the surgery itself). And I believe, in my heart, that friends, friends of friends, and loving strangers with huge hearts will help make this happen. :) Please give here: gofundme/ca26cc .
