LETS REFUSE RETROGRESSION A time comes when we are reminded of the gains we have achieved from the clamour for an open and free society and how fast and unwittingly we can be misled by the political class to sign our deportation back to Egypt. Its indeed malice for any government to criminalize the freedom of expression and association as guaranteed in article 36 of the constitution in the pretext of combating terrorism. If this law is passed as it is, Kenyans will from then onwards be compelled to apply to the office of CS health in order to hold any public meeting/rally or even picket or demonstrate. This simply means picketing and demonstrations will be history which poses the question, does alshabab hold a public meeting before attacking? your answer is as good as mine. Its therefore obvious that this part is directed to check the unions and human rights groups activity which obviously the government feels uncomfortable with. On this one, i join the opposers unless an amendment to this effect is done. #msiturudisheegypt
