LETS SAVE SOME LIVES HUHA STYLE, please sign and share!! Ok so remember the 30 beagles we managed to rescued from a closed research facility a few years ago? And remember how with a lot of love and time the emotionally broken beagles went on to be rehomed into wonderful families and are now living a wonderful lives? Well did you know that there is actually no law to protect animals like those 30 beagles from being killed once they are finished with by a facility? it was just luck that we got them out alive! In NZ thousands of laboratory animals a destroyed every year, once their testing and trials end. They are disposed of with out a second thought, and we want you to help us change that. Tonight we are launching our new Out of the Labs Campaign. We want laboratory animals to be given an opportunity of retirement, and we want it to be written in the law....after all the suffering caused it is the very least they deserve! Last month we wrote to all 110 labs in NZ and offered to help them retire their unwanted and no longer of use animals, and out of the 110 letters we only got 5 replies. 4 of the replies were good news, among them some polytechs who were no longer using live animals for training, But the other was a reply from research heavy Victoria University who had opened and read our letter, then merely put it back in the envelope and stamped it return to sender:0( So with the main animal research culprits not engaging with us, we and our good friends at NZAVS (New Zealand Anti Vivisection Society) have decided to make some noise and get you our HUHA Community on the job! So please read this petition and our website outofthelabs.org.nz .
