LETS SHARE COFFEE: Stand out in your generation Life and age runs by time and set by set ages passed away and we call it generation after generation and so has life continued from the first man Adam and to you and I living today. To every time and age you have some people who are known for one thing or the other either good or bad; the world put such exploits in Guinness book of record and for the good men they are celebrated even after death. God also stands people out at different times and such were Noah, Daniel and Job, I keep wondering what these men had in common that God had to single them out as men who are capable of influencing His decision over issues and people, but what earn them that honour? Their righteousness; can it still happen today? I believe so, can God hold on His moves because of you and me? It is possible, but there are prices to pay for it. Eze.14:14 ‘“Even if these three men, Noah, Daniel and Job, were in it, they would deliver only themselves by their righteousness,” says the Lord God.’ In other words these men can on a good day deliver the whole land from God’s judgment but on this occasion and for this very act of the people at that time. I am sure you can easily remember that these men stood out at different times in their generation, and a call to us today to determine to stand out at our time for God. Noah was singled out as the only man who should live when God felt men deserve not to continue again; Daniel would not defile himself with the food of the King even when others were slaves and so treated but he with three others were favoured to eat king’s food yet he will not for righteousness sake. And last on the list was the only man God openly permitted the devil to tempt because God trusted him that he will not fail the test and he did not disappoint God; Job stood his ground and refused to see God as wicked despite all he went through with God watching without “helping” him. These men were known for their unwavering righteousness in their days, what will God stand his ground over you for? – Selah! Choose to touch God’s mind to the extent you can influence Him; yes we can! Prayer: Lord, I thank you for giving me the understanding that I can create a nitch for myself to make a difference for you here on earth, father open my eyes to know where I need to stand out for you in this generation, help me Lord not to let you down.
