LETS TALK F1: So Lewis Hamilton is effectively unbeaten. only bad luck can stop him now. his taken Nico Rosbergs best punches, and still reigns supreme. how lucky is Rosberg? 4 races with no mechanical issues, gets whacked by Massa and take no damage what so ever to finish 2nd in a race that would have put out most Cars with a broken front suspension. yet Nico survived it. where Nico will struggle is the psychological part of the game, like last season Lewis has had the better of Nico, like he has all of his previous Rivals. this is where Vettel will be questioned. many people over the years have refused to believe that Hamilton is the best Driver in F1, he took apart Alonso (a double world champion) in his rookie year, he beat Vettels time in the wet when measured in the same Car on Top Gear. and proof that Vettel at the moment has been totally dominated and out qualified by his rival team mate Riccardo. something that would never happen to Hamilton. either that or Ricciardo is potentially even better than Vettel could ever be? only time will tell. bottom line is if you want to measure each driver, Hamilton without stopping on the first lap in Australia, would have 4 out of 4 wins, 100 Points, which would be 28 points ahead of Rosberg!. in fact, Hamiltons Car could break down again, and if Nico finished every Race in 2nd place, and it would take Hamilton 5 wins in a row to get passed him. thats how lucky Nico is. its a long season, the Ferraris and Red Bulls will catch up. but Lewis Hamilton is now already one of the all-time greats in Formula One. 4th place on the list of all-time pole position winners at the age of just 29, he still has 6 strong years at the top in him. his also joined Jim Clark and Niki Lauda on the list of all-time race winners in 8th place. he is no longer a good Formula One driver, officially transcended into the realm of “great” and is now a serious contender for the title of the best driver in Formula One’s post-Schumacher era, alongside Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel. measuring driver greatness is easy to do in a great Car, but Hamilton has had a lot of good results in an average Car much like Senna did, even when Schumy won in his early days, the Williams was the fastest Car, yet he beat them in a Benetton. and Ayrton Senna’s 1993 season, where he challenged the much quicker and technologically enhanced Williams of Alain Prost in a far weaker McLaren. think of Jenson Button and the monstrous Brawn GP car of 2009, he won 6 of the first 7 races in the season, with 4 pole positions. and was actually out qualified by Rubens over the latter part of the season, yet still went on to win a title, the reason why a lot of fans dont respect Jenson is those early wins gave Button enough of a points advantage in the championship that he took the title with a race to spare despite managing only 2 podium finishes in the next 10 Grands Prix races. compare that performance with how the truly great drivers won their championships while riding in the quickest contraption in the paddock: Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel won 13 races apiece in 2004 and 2013 respectively. your thoughts please?
