LETTER SEND BY CREW TO DGS Good Day, This letter is regarding USD 85935.47. This sum is the total wages due from Mr. Manoj Chauhan to crew of M.T.SURYA KUBER. We 19 people were hired by BRIDGEVIEW MARITIME PVT. LTD.(RPSL NO.MUM 218 ISSUED by Director General of Shipping,Mumbai for manning).This company hired us and send us on a dead ship,M.T.SURYA KUBER,owned by Mr. Manoj Chauhan,Owner 7 Seas Ship Mgmt Pvt Ltd. The ship was in dead condition and crew made the ship sailing within 20 days but the owner refused to provide food and salary.After a series of request we signed off on the basis of promise made by Owner Mr.Manoj Chauhan (Indian Passport no. Z2378209)that we will get our salary. Now he along with manning agent Mr. Vivek Anand, is harassing us and not paying our salary. It is a matter of LIFE AND DEATH of not only 19 seafarers but also their families. SIR,WE have informed everyone starting from Indian Embassy in Iran,ITF to Director General of Shipping but so far no action has been taken in this regard. WE REQUEST YOU TO TAKE STRONG ACTION AND TELL US WHY SHIPPING MINISTRY SEEM TO BE HELPLESS AND WHY THE DIRECTOR GENERAL SHIPPING HAS NOT TAKEN ANY ACTION AGAINST SUCH MANNING AGENT, IN SPITE OF THE REPEATED COMPLAINTS.
