LFC, Lions, Bulls and Blitz Bokke (nearly) all win! So why does it feel gloomy this morning? Is it too much to expect, that just once, when we have given ourselves a great start in an ICC tournament, we can follow through with victory? Am I the only moron watching the Proteas that cant understand their game plan? Do we plan our strategy for each game months before? It seems that way. Successful leaders have the ability to read the game, and play whats in front of them. Our leadership, including coaching staff seem to shun responsibility of playing what s in front of them. Yesterday, it seemed plain to all, that the beginning of the innings, because of a hard ball (?) it was the ideal occasion to score quickly. The middle and later overs it definitely became more difficult. The stats of previous matches on the sub-continent tell us that. So why dont we adapt? Why do we leave ourselves all the hard work at the end? Even the post match excuses seem to have been planned months before! I really hope that by this time next week I will have to eat my words, and that this group can prove us all wrong! Somehow, though, too many past experiences say otherwise!!
